Regional Marketing Business Partner - Western Europe

As a Regional Marketing Business Partner - Western Europe you will be responsible for channelling Teknos global Marketing and Communication strategy towards local needs, ensuring our capability of responding to regional markets' demands in a professional manner, engaging with the communities and staying close to our customers. You will be acting as a business partner to the regional commercial team, providing them with guidance, consultation and support in local marketing initiatives, thus enabling meeting commercial objectives within the region. On a daily basis, you will be localising, testing effectiveness of global concepts within local communities, steering the adaptation of centrally produced content and materials, and enabling their implementation in your region.

This regional marketing position encompasses Teknos' Western Europe locations: Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and The Netherlands and can be based in Germany, ideally near our Brüggen or Alzenau sites, or in Liechtenstein. We do offer a hybrid working mode with regular visits to designated office and reasonable travelling exposure within respective region. You will report to Global Head of Marketing and collaborating closely with an international team of marketing experts.

 

 

The most important tasks and responsibilities:

Regional marketing expert:

  • Acts as a marketing activation business partner for regional commercial team - collaborates, consults and implements actions on a local level
  • Works with local sales to develop case studies and find opportunities to co-market with our customers
  • Collaborates closely with global Marketing & Communication team with the aim of adapting global initiatives to the local market as well as amplifying local tactics across regions and globally
  • Understanding the local community expectation towards sustainability and responsibility and adequately link them to Teknos corporate position 
  • Conducting market research at local level
  • Localising and developing global content and materials, making sure they resonate with local communities
  • Proofreading and checking technical accuracy of content and materials destined for local markets 
  • Identification and engagement of local industry associations & media outlets to create opportunities for Teknos to speak and/or share our expertise  
  • Adapting employee engagement activities to build a sense of belonging within the region

Activation in local communities:

  • Selecting and executing sales activation campaigns which are aligned with local marketing roadmap and budget
  • Managing any planned local events and trade fairs, supported by central team
  • Updating local social media channels with organic content and running campaigns in line with local needs
  • Maintaining the local website according to the global plan and updating internal local communications channels
  • Qualification of local marketing leads and ensuring follow up by sales
  • Communication about the pickup points, shops, and other point of sales internally and externally
  • Communication about the sustainability impact 
  • Supporting communication activities within the region, both internally and externally

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Several years of experience as an independent marketing expert with a versatile skillset and generalist background, specialising in regional markets activation
  • B2B marketing experience is essential, preferably within industrial environment
  • Excellent business partnering capabilities, ability to set up and develop collaborative relations with commercial and technical teams
  • Outstanding digital and offline marketing skills supported by data driven mindset, evidenced by a proven track record in both domains
  • E-commerce experience will be beneficial
  • Capable to drive own initiatives and manage own agenda, while tailoring global strategies to meet local needs and standards
  • Innovative thinker, who seeks continuous improvement and is not afraid of exploring unknown solutions
  • Fluent German and English are necessary - both spoken and written, French or Dutch would be advantageous
  • Located in Germany, preferably close to our sites in Brüggen or Alzenau, or  Liechtenstein (Gamprin)
