We are looking for a proactive and analytical Category Manager to manage our Facilities and Maintenance & Repair Operations (MRO) category. In this strategic and operational role, you will work as part of an international sourcing organization, collaborating closely with global stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Your mission is to develop category strategies, conduct risk analysis, drive sourcing initiatives, optimize supplier performance, and ensure that our Facilities and MRO operations support business continuity, safety, and long-term efficiency across multiple countries.
- Promote, build, implement and further develop sourcing process for Facilities&MRO on a global level
- Measure and follow-up KPI metrics within own category
- Participate in sourcing tool/applications development projects and proactively seek further opportunities to improve existing processes and tools
- Develop the category and participate leading the virtual category teams
- Develop and run sourcing projects in the own area related to the Sourcing Road map
- Manage global tenders for Teknos, including creation of tender materials, analysis of suppliers and potential synergies
- Negotiate, implement, and manage supplier Agreements across own category
- Manage and develop supplier relationships
- Develop supplier performance (audits, SLAs, OTD and other KPI follow-up, sustainability, total cost of ownership)
- Assure that the suppliers within own category are compliant to Teknos CSR program and meet the set sustainability metrics
- Foster collaboration and knowledge across Teknos Sourcing category teams within own area of responsibility
- Offer sourcing and contract expertise to internal stakeholders and act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on sourcing processes, new projects, and activities across Teknos
- Responsible for proactive cooperation with variety of functions and relevant stakeholders across Teknos countries, including but not limited to Supply Chain, HR, Finance, R&D, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, and other relevant departments
- Responsible for compliance with reporting requirements set by Teknos and the authorities
- Several years’ experience within a similar role, with sourcing related tasks in global industrial environment
- Ability to understand the complete value chain from suppliers to customers and support adequately all parts of the organization
- Experience of sourcing processes within indirect categories is essential, preferably in investments and services within Facilities & MRO
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse personalities and cultures across global environment
- Customer service minded with a dose of influencing skills
- A customer-focused approach combined with the ability to influence and drive outcomes effectively
- Project management experience
- Development oriented and innovative, LEAN-capabilities would be an advantage
- Strong work ethic, ability to be proactive and goal-oriented
- Good knowledge of MS O365, ERP-system (IFS knowledge is a benefit), web-shop platforms, analysis tools and AI user capabilities
- A degree in technology or economics as formal education
- Excellent language skills in English
