In the role of a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, your responsibilities will include the creation and ongoing development of the company's regulatory affairs processes and policies. Your day-to-day tasks will primarily focus on monitoring regulatory changes, environmental and sustainability reporting, and maintaining regulatory documentation.
In this role, you will join a Central regional Regulatory Affairs team responsible for Poland and DACHLi region operations. You may be located in any of these countries (Poland, Germany, Switzerland or Liechtenstein area), provided that you can regularly visit one of the local offices while working within a hybrid mode.
Daily tasks and responsibilities:
- Participation in creating and continuously developing company regulatory affairs-related processes, policies and guidance
- Collaborating and communicating actively with colleagues within the Regulatory Affairs function and with both internal and external stakeholders in various forums and channels
- Preparation of regulatory-related documentation such as Safety Data Sheets, Certificates of Compliance, Statements on content of substances in products etc.
- Providing expert support for colleagues to guide them on specific challenges and advise on key topics e.g. the continued use of substances currently in the regulatory spotlight
- Working, collaborating and communicating in various internal and external working groups, task forces and forums
Key skills and qualifications:
- Several years proven experience of working with EU chemicals regulation, from e.g. a previous R&D-based roles, or directly through Regulatory Affairs-type supporting roles in manufacturing companies or in other organisations (e.g. as consultants to industry)
- Experience within chemical business is essential, while knowledge and/or experience of paints and coatings industry would be a significant advantage but is not required
- Knowledge of chemical safety regulations within the EU and Switzerland
- Preferably M.Sc. in chemistry or similar education, or proven occupational experience in the field
- Ability to work independently on regulatory affairs projects and tasks
- Good level of communication skills combined with problem solving capability
- Project work experience as a part of project teams or project lead, understanding business principles
- Experienced in IT tools used for regulatory compliance, including SDS authoring software
- Fluency in English and German is essential
- Ability to travel on business occasionally, according to need
