General information

Europe

Help shape the next phase of Demand Planning and S&OP at Teknos.

In this role, you will independently own the demand plan for selected Target Customer Groups and take a team-wide key-user and development responsibility for Demand Planning systems, data and working methods.

The Opportunity

Do you want to play an important role in the further development of Demand Planning and S&OP within an international manufacturing company? We are looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join Teknos in a permanent position.

You will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Production Planning, Sourcing, IT and Data Services. Alongside ownership of the forecast for selected Target Customer Groups, you will act as a functional expert for our Demand Planning solution and help improve the processes, data and tools used by the team.

Teknos is continuing to develop and standardize its S&OP process. We are therefore looking for someone who brings practical Demand Planning and S&OP experience, can work independently and wants to help translate process design into sustainable ways of working.

Your home base can be in an European country where Teknos has an entity, preferably in a country with a Teknos production site.

Your main responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the rolling demand forecast for selected Target Customer Groups.
  • Analyse sales history, demand patterns, seasonality, forecast changes and forecast performance.
  • Identify significant deviations, risks and opportunities, investigate root causes and recommend appropriate forecast adjustments.
  • Prepare and facilitate regular forecast reviews with Sales and Product Management.
  • Challenge assumptions constructively and translate commercial input into a transparent, realistic and fact-based demand plan.
  • Prepare and facilitate Demand Reviews, including volume trends, forecast-performance insights, key assumptions, risks, opportunities and recommended actions.
  • Ensure that new products, portfolio changes, SKU transitions and product ramp-downs are correctly reflected in the forecast.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning and Sourcing on significant demand changes and forecast-related issues.
  • Monitor relevant Demand Planning and S&OP KPIs and recommend improvements to forecasts, processes and working methods.
  • Contribute actively to the further development and standardization of the Teknos S&OP process.
  • Act as a key user and functional expert for the Demand Planning system.
  • Test system changes and new functionality, document processes and support colleagues in the effective use of Demand Planning tools and data.
  • Investigate data and system discrepancies and work with IT, Data Services and other specialists to resolve root causes.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify or automate manual and repetitive Demand Planning activities.

What we are looking for

  • Approximately five or more years of hands-on experience in Demand Planning, preferably in an international manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working within an S&OP or IBP process.
  • Experience independently managing a demand forecast and facilitating forecast reviews with commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and practical knowledge of forecasting, forecast performance and root-cause analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills, preferably including Power Query or comparable data-transformation functionality.
  • A basic understanding of databases and the ability to read and interpret simple SQL queries.
  • Experience working with planning systems and a strong interest in systems, data quality and process development.
  • Experience as a key user, super user or business representative in system development is strongly preferred.
  • The ability to translate business and planning requirements into clear functional requirements for IT and data specialists.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills in an international matrix organization.
  • The ability to work independently, structure your own work and move topics forward in a developing environment.
  • Professional proficiency in English. Other language skills are an advantage.

Experience that would be an advantage

  • Experience with IFS Demand Planning or another advanced planning and forecasting platform
  • Experience with Power BI, Qlik Sense, Snowflake, Python or comparable analytical tools
  • Experience with system testing, implementation, data validation or process automation
  • Experience in the coatings, chemicals or another process-manufacturing industry
  • Experience documenting and standardizing planning processes or sharing knowledge across a planning team

Education

A bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, analytics or another relevant field, or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience.

What we offer

  • A versatile and challenging international role with genuine ownership
  • The opportunity to influence how Demand Planning and S&OP develop at Teknos
  • A combination of business-facing Demand Planning, data analysis and system development responsibilities
  • The opportunity to develop your expertise and build your career in a growing company
  • A permanent employment relationship, starting as agreed. The position is a day job

Could this be your next step at Teknos?

We would love to hear more about you. Apply by September 25 th 2026 using the application form and attach your CV and cover letter in English. The position may be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
