As a Regulatory Specialist - Biocides you will be responsible for Teknos compliance with biocidal product regulation globally, monitoring the developments and maintaining our biocidal product authorisation and the submission of any new biocidal product applications and amendments/changes. You will be a part of a global Regulatory Affairs team, working closely with global and local colleagues on projects concerning biocide regulatory issues.
Daily tasks and responsibilities:
- Monitoring the biocidal product regulations and impact on e.g. labelling, restrictions, bans, reporting, notifications and authorisations
- In cooperation with Teknos R&D, developing and maintaining related processes and tools
- Conducting risk assessments according to biocidal product regulation and keeping record on our use of active biocidal substances/raw materials including e.g. disinfectants, in-can and film preservatives
- Developing the necessary SPC, SDS and labels
- Continuously working with updating and refining our internal information packages and instructions
- Making recommendations on areas for optimization
- Participating in projects as biocide regulatory and in any CEPE working groups related to biocides
- Acting as the super user of R4BP and IUCLID
Key skills and qualifications:
- Several years of proven experience of working with biocides regulation in e.g. industrial environment, consultancy or competent authority is a must
- Thorough knowledge of European biocides regulation, in particular product types 8 (wood preservatives), 6 (in can), 7 (film protection) and 2 (disinfectants)
- Knowledge of the biocide regulations globally
- Experience in the IT tools used in Europe e.g. R4BP and IUCLID
- Experience with risk assessment
- Ability to work both independently and in cooperation with other specialists
- Project work experience, either as a part of project teams or leading it
- Understanding business principles
- Located in Finland or Denmark with the possibility of commuting regularly to our offices in Vamdrup (Denmark) or Helsinki (Finland) or Rajamaki (Finland)
- Fluent in English
